About "Connecting Kashima's Attractiveness to Inbound" Program

This program is part of the Kashima Program, a municipal partnership project between Saga University and the city of Kashima in Saga Prefecture. The first activity of the "Connecting Kashima's Attractiveness to Inbound" program was launched in 2021. The goal of the program is to convey the attractiveness of Kashima City to people in Japan and abroad, and to link it to inbound tourism, through the help of Saga University students.

Attractiveness of Kashima City

The city is located in the south of Saga Prefecture. Major tourist attractions include Yutoku Inari Shrine, known as one of the three most famous Inari shrines in Japan, the Sake Brewery Street in Hizenhamajuku, where several sake breweries are located, and the Ariake Sea tideland, famous for the Gatalympics.
